چکیده

The La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 /BaFe11.3~ZnSn!0.7O19 ~LSMO/BaM! composites have been prepared by cosintering the LSMO and the BaM powders. The microstructural, magnetic, and magnetoresistive ~MR! properties of those systems were systematically studied. Due to the magnetic coupling between the LSMO ~a soft magnet metal! and BaM ~a hard magnet insulator! grains, the low-field MR sensitivity was reduced and the high-field MR slope was enhanced for the composites. In addition, an abnormal MR hysteresis ~resistance reaches its maximum before field reversal! was identified for the composite when the field is applied vertical to the sample plane. Its origin was attributed to a coplay of the LSMO/BaM spin coupling and the demagnetization effect. Finally, an anisotropic magnetoresistance ~AMR! effect was observed in the composites. The AMR value decreased with increasing the BaM content, which can be explained by the changes of the local effective field on the grain boundaries. © 2001 American Institute of Physics. @DOI: 10.1063/1.1392962#

Temperature sintering effects on the magnetic, electrical and transport properties of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3/Nd0.67Sr0.33MnO3 composites

The microstructure, magnetic and electrical transport properties of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3/Nd0.67Sr0.33MnO3 composites are studied as a function of sintering temperature. At 900 ◦C, the intergrain exchange couplings between the adjacent particles give rise to an increase in resistance. Raising the sintering temperature induces the formation of an interfacial phase near the La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 and Nd0.67...

Magnetic and Electrical Properties of Nanocrystalline Fe85Si10Ni5/Phenolic Resin Soft Magnetic Composites

In this work, nanocrystalline Fe85Si10Ni5 soft magnetic powders were prepared by mechanical alloying and subsequent annealing to reduce the internal stresses and lattice strains. The powders were mixed with phenolic resin and warm pressed to produce nanostructured soft magnetic composites. The effect of annealing time and temperature on the crystalline structure, microstructure and magnetic pro...

Measurement of dielectric properties at low temperatures: application to the study of magnetoresistive manganite/ insulating oxide bulk composites

In this paper, we report low temperature dielectric measurements of bulk composite electroceramic samples containing a colossal magnetoresistive (CMR) manganite phase (La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 [abbreviated LCMO]) and an insulating phase (Mn3O4). Details of the experimental system are given and possible experimental artefacts due to moisture are outlined. For a LCMO volume fraction of ~ 16%, the permittiv...

Silicothermic production and characterization of FeSiNi/SiO2 Magnetic nanocompsite via mechanical alloying

In recent years, a lot of research has been done in the field of producing soft magnetic nano composites by means of mechanical alloying. These materials indicate more electrical resistance and permeability in comparison with soft magnetic composites (SMCs). In this research, reduction of silicothermal mixed powder (Nickel-oxide, Silicon and Iron) was carried out by mechanical alloying to form ...
